The guy was so cheap that last season he wouldn’t even issue qualifying offers to players, which simply would have guaranteed the Marlins draft picks as compensation when they left to play for another team. While insightful comments from the owner such as “bare down Blue” are his right to make, every team in professional sports has been better off with their being a line that seperates the field from the stands once the game begins.
